Collection: Bridal Bangles

Goes without saying weddings rituals are unique round the world. When it comes to South-east Asian weddings the difference can be clearly seen in the bangles worn by the brides. Check-in with this collection periodically as we share stories from bridal bangle stories from around the world and in particular India.

We start by launching the Punjabi Bridal Stack known as Chura or Chooda. The stack is gifted by the Maternal uncle of the bride in a ritualistic ceremony. The Bride does not take off the bangles for 21 days or more post wedding. The bangles are usually taken off by the sister-in-law again in a ceremony. Traditional colors were red, maroon and ivory.
